SPOILER ALERT! Only watch the Insatiable and Harper’s Island clips if you’ve seen the shows.

Accused

The Fox anthology series Accused asked me to come play this grade A a..hole in one of their first season’s episodes and I couldn’t say no to the opportunity to work with my old pal Meaghan Rath and director Milan Cheylov (Odyssey 5 and Jake 2.0).

NCIS:LA

Alex Kilbride, the troubled son of the Admiral (Gerald McRaney) was all set to have a great recurring story line in season 15 of the show…and then the show was unexpectedly cancelled. But I did have one really nice day on set that yielded three really nice scenes. Here’s the last one.

The Lincoln Lawyer

I played video game mogul, and accused murderer, Trevor Elliot in the first season of this hit Netflix drama from David E. Kelley. Did I do it? You’ll have to watch the show!

Insatiable

For two seasons, I played Bob Barnard on the Netflix comedy, “Insatiable.” This wild satire had fun exploring identity, non-traditional relationships, and the idea of what it means to be “a good person.”

2 Broke Girls

As Bobby in the final season of the CBS sitcom “2 Broke Girls” , I joined a hilarious, well oiled comedy machine.

Covert Affairs

For five seasons on USA Network, I was proud to portray Auggie Anderson, a CIA officer blinded while serving in the US Special Forces. Covert evolved from a case-of-the-week procedural into a more serious, serialized action drama as we explored the life of Annie Walker and her friends at The Agency.

Full Circle

This experimental show from DirecTV’s Audience Network rehearsed like a play and then filmed all 10 episodes in just two weeks. Lots of recognizable faces in the cast including Harold Perrineau, Dougray Scott, and Kim Raver. If you find a link, let me know and I’ll include it. Here’s a taste.

EXPLICIT LANGUAGE

Ugly Betty

I joined this Golden Globe winning gem four episodes into season 1 and found a home for two years as accountant Henry Grubstick. Here’s a scene from season 2 that captures the sweet innocence that made Henry and Betty a beloved TV ship.

Harper’s Island

From Henry Grubstick to Henry Dunn, I left the clean lines of Mode for the bloody shores of Harper’s Island on CBS. Bingeable before binging was a thing, Harper’s was before its time. If you like a good mystery, and some broadcast appropriate gore, these 13 episodes will leave you wanting more. No spoilers!

MATURE AUDIENCES

Out of Practice

This CBS sitcom is the one that got away. Henry Winkler, Stockard Channing, Ty Burrell, Paula Marshall, Jennifer Tilly, and myself made 22 episodes from showrunners Chris Lloyd and Joe Keenan, who were fresh off of 11 years of Frasier. Really, really worth your while if you want to laugh.

Medical Investigation

This NBC medical drama lasted just one season. Bits of trivia - my character was a nurse in the pilot but was changed to a doctor when it went to series. Also, we filmed at Paramount Studios, which is where I would shoot Out of Practice the next year.

Jake 2.0

“Jake” was trying to do what Chuck pulled off nicely, just a few years earlier and on the wrong network. UPN merged with the WB the year after, if memory serves. I worked every day on this show and I loved it. This is the show that sparked my desire to direct. “Jake” was created by Silvio Horta, who later brought me on to his hit show, Ugly Betty. Not currently streaming, but the entire series is available on DVD.

Odyssey 5

Odyssey 5 was a fun sci-fi experiment that had an audience, but fell victim to Showtime’s desire to move away from science fiction as they chased the success of HBO. Not sure if it’s available to stream, but you can order the DVD. Side note, still proud of the “weightless” work we did…on the sound stage in Toronto.

Felicity

I joined Felicity as the hard drinking Trevor O'Donnell after Popular was cancelled. The Felicity production had moved into one of our Popular sound stages at the Disney studio in Burbank, so I’d be lying if I told you it didn’t feel a little strange. That said, everyone was lovely and my wife, Anel, even made an appearance in an episode. I won’t give it away, but I’ll give you a hint - Princess Lea.

Popular

My first series, created by Ryan Murphy, taught me a lot and allowed me to work full time as an actor for the first time. Trivia - Harrison’s blue streak was something I sprayed on for my auditions, but the network was afraid it might be too edgy (lol) so wouldn’t let me wear it for any of the promotional videos and pictures. We kept it for a a few episodes but eventually let it go.
